Course Structure

All live online classes include pre-class materials, such as pre-recorded videos, lecture notes, reading assignments, and practice problems, followed by interactive live sessions via Zoom or Google Meet. The live sessions focus on student questions, further explanations of key concepts, and more complicated problems.

Students are expected to:

  • Thoroughly review the pre-class materials, complete the assigned homework, and submit any questions before the live session.

  • Review the content after each lecture to reinforce learning and deepen their understanding.

Fundamentals Series (Dr. Xue)

    • Course Description and Syllabus

      This course covers both introductory and intermediate number theory, providing everything students need to know for the AMC 10 and 12 tests. It is recommended that students complete our AMC 8 Fundamentals Number Theory module before taking this course, or obtain prior approval from Dr. Xue.

    • Live Online Classes: 60–120 minutes of pre-recorded lectures + 90 minutes of live lectures per week for 12 weeks. $60 per week.

      Self-Paced Classes: 12 lessons, $40 each.

      Q&A sessions: 15-min each, $20 per lesson.

Problem-Solving Series (Dr. Xue)

    • Dr. Xue offers personalized coaching sessions for students preparing for the AMC 10. The process includes the following steps:

      • Test Completion: Students complete a previous AMC 10 test (or selected problems on a specific topic) and submit their results along with any questions they encountered using this form.

      • Feedback & Solutions: Dr. Xue will provide brief feedback, along with written and video solutions to the test questions. Additional recordings on related topics may also be provided for further review.

      • Live Follow-Up: After studying the provided materials, students can schedule a 15–30 minute live meeting with Dr. Xue to ask further questions and receive additional explanations

    • Recommended Strategy:

      1. Start with the most recent tests (e.g., 2024) to familiarize yourself with the current format and difficulty level.

      2. Work through the last 5 years of tests (e.g., 2020–2023) in chronological order (e.g., 2020, 2021 Spring, 2021 Fall, 2022, and 2023). These tests get a little harder each year. The earlier tests will help build confidence and reinforce key concepts, while the later tests will challenge you more and refine your problem-solving skills.

      3. Focus on the first 15 problems if you're a beginner. Once you are comfortable, move on to Problems 16–20 and then Problems 21–25 for more advanced practice.

    • Rates:

      Option 1: 15-min Live Meeting – $45 per session

      Option 2: 30-min Live Meeting – $75 per session.

      If you have multiple students who are interested in this program, you are welcome to combine the live meetings into longer sessions.
