Math and Research Club Activities
Teaching for Professional Growth
Our student teacher positions for high school and advanced middle school students provide an exciting opportunity for both personal and professional growth, featuring expert training, hands-on experience, and ongoing support.
Students who may not feel ready to teach can join our school service team, where they’ll unleash their creativity, sharpen their project management skills, elevate their communication and interpersonal abilities, and gain hands-on leadership experience that will set them apart.
We welcome student volunteers to assist with all school activities, including teaching classes, holding office hours, helping new students, and providing classroom assistance.
We host in-depth review lectures for each year's AMC 8, 10, 12, and AIME tests a few days after the test dates, for a small fee. During the lectures, Dr. Xue provides full explanations of each problem and encourages students to explore various solution strategies. All lectures are live via Zoom and recorded. If you are unable to attend the live sessions, the recordings are available for purchase.
School Colloquia
We are launching a monthly Math and Research Colloquia Series featuring Dr. Xue and invited speakers, including university professors, postdocs, advanced PhD students, and industry professionals. Topics will encompass mathematics, applied mathematics, data science, biology, physics, and other STEM fields. If you’re interested, please fill out the Math and Research Colloquium Interest Form. We will begin these activities once we receive sufficient student interest.
Student Seminars
When there are no colloquia or special lectures, students present on their chosen math or research topics. This is a valuable opportunity for them to learn from each other and practice their presentations for science and engineering fairs. These activities are free and organized by students.
