About Dr. Xue’s Appointments
-
Dr. Xue’s private lessons are limited to no more than 5 hours per week, no more than 3 weekly students, and are primarily reserved for students with genuine learning needs. Our student teachers, under Dr. Xue's guidance, offer private tutoring in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, AMC 8, and MATHCOUNTS. Some advanced student teachers are available to tutor Algebra 2 and Precalculus. All of our student teachers have undergone rigorous interviews and teacher training.
New students may begin with an initial discounted consultation session or private lesson to help identify a long-term approach to their learning. We strive to find innovative educational solutions for every student in need.
All meetings are conducted via Zoom. Every minute will be dedicated to supporting your child's learning. We do not use private lessons or consultation sessions for marketing purposes. If we recommend any extracurricular math or science activities for your child, whether through us or another instructor, the recommendation will be based solely on their needs.
Our live online small-group classes (which we call pods) typically consist of 3–8 students, with no more than 6 students in the student-teacher's classes and no more than 12 students in Dr. Xue's classes. This ensures that each student receives adequate, individualized attention. Dr. Xue regularly monitors each student’s progress to ensure they are appropriately challenged and periodically drops by student teachers' classes to gather feedback for potential improvements. Tuition for all courses is collected monthly. If a student drops a course, a refund will be granted if the request is made at least one week in advance. New students can take up to 3 trial lessons, paying per session, before committing to a full course. Some problem-solving classes also offer the option to pay per session for the entire course due to their unique design.
We expect both students and parents to maintain professionalism in all communications and to come prepared for meetings.

Mason Mom, MI, Pre-Algebra
“Your private lessons feel very well-organized, unrushed, without a single minute wasted. Mason mentioned that he would feel guilty if he had to take a restroom break. It is very impressive.”
McKinley Mom, NJ, Precalculus
“My kiddo has had nothing but great things to say about Dr. Xue. She makes difficult topics easy to understand.”
