Meet Our Student Teachers
We take teaching very seriously. Our student teachers are dedicated, patient, empathetic, and professional. Some are volunteering their time to teach, demonstrating sincerity and commitment. All have passed rigorous interviews and continue to receive training and support from Dr. Xue. Based on past results (as of December 2024), we have accepted approximately 50% of applicants to this program. Future acceptance rates may vary depending on the applicant pool. We are committed to helping each other excel at teaching and welcome those who are eager to learn and grow with us.
Jotin – Twin Groves Middle School, IL
"I’m an 8th grader currently taking Algebra 2 AB/BC and playing varsity basketball for my school. Since 5th grade, I’ve participated in various math competitions each year, including MOEMS, MATHCOUNTS, AMC 8, AMC 10, and the Berkeley Mini Math Tournament. My passion for math started in 1st grade, and it has only grown since then. I enjoy teaching young kids and helping them explore exciting math concepts. I can teach topics like Introduction to Counting and Probability, Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory. In my free time, I love playing basketball outside (if the weather’s nice), spending time with my family, and hanging out with friends."
